Urocit-K is a citrate salt of potassium. Potassium citrate is a white granular powder that is soluble in water at 154g/100ml, almost insoluble in alcohol, and insoluble in organic solvents. Urocit-K is supplied as wax matrix tablets, containing 540mg potassium citrate, for oral administration. Urocit-K (potasium citrate) Inhibits formation of both calcium oxalate and uric acid stones.

Potasium citrate is indicated for the management of renal tubular acidosis (RTA) with calcium stones, hypocitraturic calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis of any etiology, and uric acid lithiasis with or without calcium stones. This is a human drug.
