Immunocidin (Mycobacterium Cell Wall Fraction Immunostimulant)  is an immunotherapeutic for canine mammary tumors that is USDA approved to inject directly into the tumor or as an option it can be used as an adjunct to surgery.

Immunocidin offers:

  • A high tumor-free survival rate.
  • A well-tolerated injection.
  • Induction of apoptosis in tumor cells.
  • A treatment option for dogs that may be at risk for surgery.
  • An option that minimizes side effects associated with chemo treatments.
  • An alternative that presents no risk to veterinary hospital staff.

When to use Immunocidin:

  • As a sole treatment via intratumoral infusion.
  • Pre-surgery to debulk tumors.
  • Post-surgery to improve systemic effect and treat missed cancerous cells and tissue.
  • In conjunction with chemotherapy and/or surgery.

Dosing:

  • Varies with tumor size.
    • Average dose is 2.5ml per tumor but can range from 1ml-10ml.
  • Treatment should be repeated at 1-3 week intervals until the tumor is resolved.
  • The average cumulative dose is about 7.5ml to 10ml, or 3-4 treatments to achieve remission.

 

Packaged as an individual 2.5ml vial.
