Lead Web Developer — IBM Websphere

Are you looking to be part of a dynamic team and growing family-owned company? Penn Veterinary Supply is seeking a skilled Lead Web Developer – IBM Websphere to help us in achieving our digital and eCommerce goals. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Lead Web Developer will oversee the internal web development team as well as contracted resources. The Lead Web Developer will assist with planning, product development, and timelines as well as provide feedback to marketing or sales teams on capabilities and solutions. The Lead Web Developer will have an immediate effect on our brand and our customer experience, as well as an ongoing impact in solidifying our reputation for excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Using the agile development methodology, the Lead Web Developer will engage with the business and web development team on daily stand up and weekly/monthly sprint meetings.
  • Refine business and functional requirements and determine project scopes and specifications.
  • Mentor the web development staff and provide general design guidance and platform specific expertise.
  • Consistently create well-designed, tested code using best practices for website development.
  • Create websites and user interfaces, using standard HTML/CSS practices, while incorporating data from back-end databases and services.
  • Develop or validate testing schedules, addressing all browsers and devices to ensure various computers can access content.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of new and emerging industry trends and technology.
  • Ensure software stability via regression, support quality assurance, and perform unit and user-acceptance testing to identify bugs and ensure production operations run successfully.
  • Work quickly and carefully to complete small edits requested by stakeholders, collaborate with colleagues, and suggest new solutions to improve existing websites.

Skills and Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Experience planning and developing eCommerce websites
  • Expertise with IBM Websphere (a must)
  • Working knowledge of web applications, Java programming language, and web services, such as APIs, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, .JSP, REST, SOAP, and web user interface design (UI)
  • Dedication to innovative, sophisticated designs and collaborative problem solving
  • Working experience in Linux environments

Senior Web Developer — IBM Websphere

Penn Veterinary Supply is seeking a skilled senior web developer to help us in achieving our digital and eCommerce goals. This role will work under the Lead Web Developer in the creation, maintenance, and updates of the company B2B eCommerce website. The web developer will have an immediate effect on our brand and our customer experience, as well as an ongoing impact in solidifying our reputation for excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently create well-designed, tested code including for mobile and responsive site design using best practices for website development
  • Create websites and user interfaces, using standard HTML/CSS practices, while incorporating data from back-end databases and services
  • Develop or validate testing schedules, addressing all browsers and devices to ensure various computers can access content
  • Meet regularly with business stakeholders and IT management to understand and refine business and functional requirements and determine project scopes and specifications
  • Ensure software stability via regression, support quality assurance, and perform unit and user-acceptance testing to identify bugs and ensure production operations run successfully
  • Work quickly and carefully to complete small edits requested by stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues, and suggest new solutions to improve existing websites

Warehouse Shipping Associate

We are looking for highly motivated warehouse shipping associates in our Lancaster, PA location. Warehouse shipping associate responsibilities include receiving and storing materials, picking, packing and scanning orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. This position is typically Monday - Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM .

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment
  • Process orders with 100% accuracy
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and understand documents from safety rules to packing lists to customer orders
  • Ability to accomplish simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

Property Manager

Responsibilities

  • Maintain service, schedule, and maintenance documentation of Company fleet
  • Maintain service as well as schedule needed maintenance for warehouse equipment, generator, lawn equipment, hydraulics, snow removal equipment, landscaping equipment
  • General building maintenance (basic HVAC, plumbic, electrical, cosmetics, filters, etc.)
  • Keep building supplies updated
  • Schedule third party vendors (HVAC, pest control, plumbing, cleaning, etc.)
  • Assist Company associates/departments on campus with when needed with office needs
  • Assist in the warehouse as needed (shipping/receiving)
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager, President, or Owner of the Company

Job Expectations:

  • Maintain and grow established territory with approximately 100-150 accounts.
  • Accomplish corporate budgets and goals.
  • Sell products in a customer friendly yet profitable way. Build relationships with clients of all sizes.
  • Continued study of company product lines and equipment.
  • Develop relationships with our manufacturer representatives.
  • Provide the best customer service.
  • Work closely with inside sales team and other internal departments in servicing our accounts.
  • Attend company sponsored meetings when requested.

Requirements:

  • Three or more years of business to business (B2B) outside sales experience of tangible goods or at least five years of experience working in a Veterinary office or hospital.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with proven negotiation skills.
  • Great organizational abilities. Ability to organize one’s own activities and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to learn complicated product knowledge and technical information.
  • Proficient in using computers and their programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Salary range plus commissions/bonuses averages gross earnings $60-80k annually. Additional car allowance.
